Harvest Festival Concert. A really entertaining programme was . enjoyed uy a capacity house on Monday % night when the concert party arranged by Mr Don AlacKay, of FeUding, presented a. concert to augment the Apiti Presbyterian Church's Harvest Festival eftort for mission lauds. Spirited numbers by ihe FeUding .Pipe Band opened the programme. \ ocal duets y Misses Bianciiett and Mr Cnudinger were followed by a double sword dance uy Misses Dorothy McLean and Valerie Anuerson. Mr P. Keith's vocal solo was encored, as were all items on the programme. Two little girls who gave lap dances were Beverley ilofteins and Coialie Blenkhoru. Miss Garreit contributed two pianoforte soios, and Mrs Watton violin soios. Miss D. McLean presented a skipping dance. Misses Leah v* ills and Barbara Heath a dance duo, and Misses D. McLean. L. Willis, V - Anderson and B. licaih Ivisn reel and jig. Miss Blanchette gave a pleasing solo, ana Mr Gnadinger contributed popular numbers, piaying his own guitar accompaniments. Miss June Scott played ior the dancers and Miss Garret played the accompaniments for the vocalists. Mr D. McKay thanked all the performers, especially Miss June Scott -or presenting her pupils from Palmerston North, ana MiSo Gmrett, of Feliding, for arranging the vocal and instrumental items. Rev. L. J. Hodson, on behalf of the Apiti Presbyterian Church, endorsed Mr. McKay's remarks and added ; ia thanks to all performers. Mr 'V. vcKay then au. turned the product, wh.ca added materially *o the sum raisea by the succesful concert. Messrs C. Spence. K. Cowan and W. Martin assisted at the auction, and Mr A. \\ . Benseman acted as doorkeeper at the concert. Supper was served by Mesdames L. J. Hodson, A. W. Benseman. W. M. Duncan, McNieoi, W. Jensen, Misses Cowan, Paterson. Hodson and nelpers. after which further items by members of the Pipe Band kept the audience entertained until a late hour. Personal. Mrs W. J. Viles has left on a holiday visit to the South Island. Mr and Mrs H. Stanborough and their ion, Peter, are Woodville visitors staying with Mrs J. i:. Stewart.
