Kopane
From Our Own Correspondent. A well attended meeting was held in the Kopane school on Saturday night to consider the formation of a football club. It was decided to form a club, to be known as Aorangi Old Boys, and that a team be entered in the Manawatu Rugby Union third grade competition. Subject to approval of the Manawatu Rugby Union, the colours decided upon were royal blue and white. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr S. Parsons; president, Mr D. Beattie; vice-presidents, Messrs D. G. Warner, D. Kitchen, E. Norris, G. Hill, E. Morgan; secretary and treasurer, L. Parsons; coaches, D. Kitchen, D. Shearman,
E. Norris; all present were placed on the committee. The local A tennis team travelled to Sandon and were successful in winning the match by 9 sets to 7.
