From Our Own Correspondent Tennis. A team of Colyton tennis players visited Bulls on Saturday and were defeated by 14 sets to 10. The results were as follow, Bulls players being mentioned first:— Men’s singles: J. Johnston beat A. Burt, R. Gloyn beat J. Humphrey. B. Ralfe beat C. Burr, L. Cleaver beat M. Hocken. G. Eyles beat C. Wilson, S. Green lost to M. Ford. Women’s singles: Miss Walker lost to Miss L. Hansen, Mrs Eyles lost to Miss M. Hocken, Mrs Biggs lost to Mrs Slight, Miss C. Howard lost to Miss P. Adsett, Miss P. Porter and Miss V. Woodman (Colyton), both won by default. Men’s doubles: Johnston and Gloyne beat A. Burr and Humphrey; and Cleaver beat C. Burr and Hocken; Green and Eyles beat Wilson and Ford. Women's doubles: Miss Walker and Mrs Eyles beat Misses Hansen and Hocken; Mrs Biggs and Miss Howard lost to Mrs Slight and Miss Adsett; Mrs Eyles and Mrs Biggs beat Miss Porter and Miss V. Woodman. The weekend saw the Bulls Bowling Green crowded with visiting bowlers from all around the district. Bulls (K. Drew skip) won with 4 games, and Oroua (Hamilton. skip) were runners-up with games. Mr Drew thanked the visitors for attending ancl making the day such an enjoyable one. The ladies were also accorded thanks for supplying afternoon tea.
