TWO-TOOTH EWES SELL WELL The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report on the weekly sale held on Tuesday when a fair yarding of sheep came forward and met with moderate competition. There was a good inquiry for 2th ewes. Small 2th ewes on account of Chas. Jennings, Makuri, realised 35s 2d. Lambs were hard to quit and were sold in buyers' favour. Quotations: Aged ewes, 13s, 14s to 15s 2d; 2th ewes, to 35s 2d; m.a. b.f. ewes, 20s; small 4 and 6th ewes, 27s 6d; b.f. lambs (good), 18s; 2th wethers (good), 22s 6d. FARMERS’ CO-OP. REPORT The N.Z. Farmers' Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on the Pahiatua weekly sale as follows:—Quite a fair yarding of sheep was offered to a moderate attendance of local buyers, prices generally showing a decline on previous sales, especially iu the older ewes. Few lambs were offered and prices were firm on late sales. Quotations: —■ Sheep: 2th ewes, 355, 34s 2d; 4th ewes, 255; m.a. ewes, 20s 6d; s.m. ewes, 18s 4d, 18s Id, 17s 3d, 16s 6d; aged ewes, 15s, 14s 6d; ewe lambs, 255; w.f.w. lambs, 15s 6d, 15s to 12s 9d; b.f. lambs, 14s 4d; prime b.f. 2ths, 24s 6d; 2th wethers, 22s 6d, 235; S.D. rams, sgns. Cattle: Weaner Jersey heifers, 455. Pigs: Weaners, 9s to 11s.
