The New Zealand Meat 'Producers’ Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa, to the United Kingdom during the month of February 1938, were as follows: Australia: Carcases mutton, 161,016; carcases lamb, 380,533; quarters beef (frozen), 42,545; quarters beef (chilled), 24,392. South America: Carcases mutton, 10,457; carcases lamb, 409,702; quarters beef (frozen), 5096; quarters beef (chilled), 460,490. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia): Quarters beef (chilled), 1706. New Zealand: Carcases mutton, 162,332; carcases lamb, 1,022,146; quarters beef (frozen), 4768; quarters beef (chilled), 24,333.
