Wedding

CO STALK—BRADLEY. The marriage took place on Saturday, 19th February, at St. Peter's Church, Terrace End,< of Edna Darreen Bradley, daughter of. Mr and ht* s F., Fairey, of Palmerston North, and Arthur Walton, son of Mrs A. Costall of Rongotea. The tail-fair'bride looked a picture of girlish grace, in her bridal robe of cream lace, and ruched. georgette which was inset with vandyked panels. The waist was tight fitting falling to graceful fullness at the hem. The sleeves, full at- the shoulder; were finished with tiny lace cuffs. A square neckline, adorned with hand-made cream flowers, created ah' unusual finish. The billowy tulle veil worn off the face was held to the head with -a coronet of the traditional orange blossom. A sheaf of Joseph lilies, gladioli and carnations was carried -and made a delightful finish to a dainty ensemble, The bridesmaids, Misses J. Bennett and J. Costall were charming in their model frocks of French blue georgette made in redingote style, with narrow ruchings over underslips of blue satin. • Unusual caps of blue net appliqued with blue velvet flowers were worn well to the side of the head. Blue shoes to match were also wpr'n and bouquets white and salmon’ pink gladioli. Mr R. Morgan assisted the bridegroom as best man and Mr Gouley as groomsman. Rev. Ransom© was the officiating clergyman and Mr L. Drake, brother-in-law of the bride, was organist. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The reception was held at the Royal Dutch, Mrs Fairey, assisted by Mrs Costall, receiving the 80 guests present. Mrs Fairey wore a model frock of navy blister satin with hat to match and carried a posy of scarlet gladioli. Mrs Costal! chose a frock of black and white floral georgette and coat to match.- Her- posy consisted of flame gladioli and miniature pom-pom dahlias. Mrs L. Drake, sister of the bride, wore a navy frock and hat to tone. The wedding cake, made and iced by the bride's father, took pride of place the table. The decorative scheme at the reception rooms was pink and white. Among those present from a distance were Mr and Mrs Ryan (Wanganui), Mr and Mrs R. Bradley (Hastings), Mr and Mrs E. E. Han cox Masterton, Miss M. Costall (Wellington), Mi's Cragg (Wellington), also many from Rongotea and Palmerston North. When the bride and bridegroom.Jeft by car for their honeymoon midst much confetti and many good wishes, Mrs A. Costall wore a tailored suit of dark marina blue, brown velour hat' and accessories to match. Many beautiful gifts and several cheques were received and testified to the popularity of the young couple. Mr and Mrs Costall will make their future home in Palmerston North .
