BIG SCORIN'Gr IN STABLEFORD BOGEY ' There was a big entry for the Stableford bogey handicap played at Hokowhitu during t'ie week-end and there was some very hot scoring. The course, after the rain, was in perfect order and remarkably fast, tut the temperature in the more sheltered places was high enough to be decidedly uncomfortable. The winner in the senior division was O. H. Williams, who was round in 72 off the stick for a total of 39 points. The open champion J. P. Hornabrook shot a 71 and ho finished one stroke away from Wii'iams. The leading scores were as under: — O. H. Williams, 36—3—39. J. P. Hornabrook, 38 —o—3B.0 —38. S. W. Rapley, 29—5—34. M. D. The former, on the outward journey, recorded no less than five 3’s and he reached the turn in 33. Williams had two 3’s and a 2 going out and he reached the turn in 34.
