Cheltenham

From Our Own Correspondent. Gift Evening.

The Cheltenham hall was the scene of an enjoyable function when a gift evening; was given by the Cheltenham Tennis Club to Miss Doris MacFarlane, whose marriage to Mr D. McKinley is to take place shortly. Tlie friends present spent a happyevening in dancing. Supper was served, after which Mr C. Curtis, on behalf of those present, asked Miss McFarlane to accept the many gifts with the best wishes of her friends. Miss McFarlane was also the recipient of a silver cake dish, the gift of the Cheltenham Tennis Club, of which she has been a member for many years. Mr McKinley returned thanks on behalf of Miss McFarlane. Earlier in the evening little Valerie Anderson presented the guest of honour witn a bouquet.
