HIGH PRICES AT FEILDING EWE FAIR

Vendors Experience Bright Market STRONG TONE TOR TWO-TOOTH EWES Expectations in the matter of high values were fully realised at the Feilding ewe fair yesterday when an offering of over 30,000 sheep came forward' to experience a particularly bright sale. The easing wool market did not have the slightest effect on the operations, 1 which w'ere most buoyant throughout, j Particularly was this the case in the two-tooth section, where the tone was very strong for the best quality lines.; The top price in this section for the’ sale was 71s, paid for a line of 20 very attractive sheep offered on account of J. Corpe, the Feilding breeder. This 1 price was 8s ahead of last year’s best price of 635, which was paid for the offering of Mr. J. D. Hocking, of Kiwitea. Straight lines of guaranteed 4-yr ewes made up to 32s 3d, this price being obtained by Mrs. D’Ath for an offering of 270. An offering of 140 well-bred 4-th ewes on account of the Hannah' estate realised 34s Id, and good 6-th J ewes on account of D. Kilgour, junr., I made 34s 3d.
