Pigs, Poultry and Produce

The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reports a very keen demand for pigs at their weekly talc held on Thursday. Good weaners and porkers were keenly sought after and a total clearance was made at satisfactory prices. Produce: Peaches, from 3s to 6s per half case; plums, from 4s to 9s per half case; nectarines, from 7s to 9s 6d per case; apricots, from Ss lo 13s per case; tomatoes, from Is to 2s per quarter and from Is 6d to 3s per half; apples, Gravensteins, from 2s to 5s per bushel; cookers, from 3s to 5s Gd per bushel; pears, from 4s to 8s Cd per bushel; raspberries, from 7s to 9s per tin; cucumbers, from Is to 2s 6d per banana case; beaus, from Is to 3s per bag; peas, from 5s to 16s per bag; lettuce, from 3s to 7s bd per case; parsnips, from 4s to 6s per case; carrots, from 2s to 5s 6d per dozen; potatoes, from 7s to Ss Od per bag.
