Funeral of Late Mr. K. Tucker, of Feilding
The funeral of the late Mr. Kenneth Tucker, a member of the P. and T. staff at Feilding, took place on Monday from the residence in Derby street. The cortege proceeded to the Anglican Church, where the friends were met by other sympathisers and the Rev. J. S. Holland, of All Saints 7 , Palmerston North, conducted the service. The interment took place in the Anglican portion of the cemetery. Tho _pall-bearers were Messrs. H. J. Terry, L. Pickering, P. 'de Ja Cour, B. Miles (Postal Department, Feilding) and Messrs. E. Halpin and G. Follas. Among the wreaths wero tokens from the Wanganui P. and T., Feilding I*, and T., Hunterville P. and T., and Marton P. and T., on whose staffs Mr. Tucker had served. There were also present at the funeral the father of the deceased, Mr. W. C. Tucker, of New Plymouth, and Mr. and Mrs. Follas, parents of Mrs. K. Tucker. The late Mr. Tucker was born at Wanganui and received his education at Wanganui, joining tba civil service in 1916. A keen cricketer, he was the nephew of Mr. K. Tucker, of cricket circles in Wellington. His marriage to Miss Eileen Mavis Follas took place at Hunterville some two years ago. He had a brother (William) at Aucklan 1, and one sister (Mrs. Birch, of Now Plymouth),
