FIELDS AND PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY TRACK MAY BE TRICKY From Our Own CorresDonttant. AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting will conclude to-morrow When good fields will again make for keen and interesting racing. A feature will be the Great Northern Trotting Stakes, the first two-year-old event of the season. J. T. Paul has three promising youngsters, Contender, Sonja Heine and Davey Day, and another useful local colt is Auto Bingen. The Waikato candidate worthy Career, stable mate to Our Peggy, is a solid type, and the Canterbury pair, Taiki and Worthy Empress, have pleased in their worlt. Some newcomers will give added interest to the Alexandra Park Handicap in which the genuine Kenworthy will again run well. Bexley Girl has a fine chance to make amends in the Rangitoto Handicap but if Our Peggy can get the extra distance she will make it interesting. Given a dry track, Parrish Belle will take all sorts of beating in the Forbes Handicap. Wah may again show good form.

The three-year-olds, Uenuku and Kewpie’s Queen, will test their older rivals in the Richmond Handicap. Pirate’s Last may repeat his first day performance, but Corona Bell, a fresh one in the Manurewa Handicap, is very solid.

The Farewell saddle event has an even field but Our War, off the limit, may be most in demand, although if started the trotter, Te Kahu, may surprise. In the Howick Handicap the draw for post positions will bo the best guide, but, decently placed, Ratepayer, who is on the improve, should be hard to beat. Light rain is again falling and the track may be very tricky.
