PRINCESS ROYAL jl THOROUGHBRED BUYER

At the Newmarket (England) December sales the Princess Royal was among the buyers, W. Jarvis giving 1300gns. for the brood mare, Wireless (Hurry On—Vain Air) on her behalf. Wireless is the dam of Fox Earth and Marconi, the latter winning races in the colours of three Kings. Although the Princess Royal has always taken a keen interest in thoroughbred breeding and racing, this was her first venture as an owner.
