FEILDING CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. There was an excellent attendance of both players and supporters of the code at the annual meeting of the Feilding Rugby Football Club held on Saturday night, Air. T. Collins (president) presiding. Speaking to the annual report the chairman expressed gratification at the success of the club’s teams in the competitions, making special mention of the third grade team which annexed the third grade championship. Air. Collins went on to pay a tribute to Mr. P. Benge for his enthusiastic coaching which had proved most valuable in keeping, the players up to the mark. Touching on the club’s finances the chairman stressed the necessity for all players to pay the full subscription and instanced the manner in which the third grade players had fulfilled their obligations. The example shown might well be followed by the senior grades and he trusted that in the coming season all would make a x>oint of paying their dues. Apart from this the balance sheet showed a very satisfactory position considering that two senior teams took part in the competition. In regard to the approaching season a number of new players were offering and a strong senior team was assured while generally the prospects for the season appeared quite promising.

Brown, S. Jarrett, J. G. Eliott, S. Fowler, J. L. Ale Reynolds, R. W. Reid, G. Alai, V. Lawrence, V. J. btiehbury, T. Kelly, R. Bevaii, J. Aliller, R. Miers, H. Sim, A. E. Dewc, C. Stevens, C. G. C. Dermer, A. Newman, G. Darragh; club captain, Air. V. Alorphy; hon. auditor, Mr. A. R. Alicrs; committee, Messrs. Bramwell, Gleeson, Alarsileu, Alorphy, together with the captains of the senior, junior and third grade teams.

Pending the appointment of club captains, Messrs. Brunscll, Gleeson, Jaggard, Cantwell, Benge and Alarsden were appointed to act as selectors for the senior, junior and third grade teams.

The following were" appointed delegates to the annual meeting of the Afanaw'atu Rugby Union; Messrs. Collins, Gleeson, Brunsell, Bowler, Miers, Adsett, Alorphy and the secretary. Coaches for the season were appointed as follows: Senior, Alessrs. W. Gleeson and J. Brunsell; junior, Air. J. Jaggard; thirds, Mr. P. Benge. New playing members were announced as follows: L. Henson, J. Mutch, C. Marshall, N. Claridge, V. Woodman, J.. Burton, C. Lamout, v. Sinclair, H. Alonteith, C. Fisher, b. Laurenson, W. Dunn, R. Fraser, D. and G. Grindrod, C. Barney, Bell, Aloriarty and Kreegher. It was decided to hold the first practice gathering on Thursday evening next and to arrange for a trial game on Saturday. The meeting agreed to enter senior, junior and third grade teams in the Mauawatu competitions.

Mr. Graham McCorkindale, the retiring secretary, did not seek re-election and the filling of the vacancy was left to the incoming committee to attend to. The chairman eulogised the work of Air. McCorkindale and paid a tribute to the manner in which he had carried out the duties as chief executive officer of the club. He regretted very rnuclf that Mr. AlcCorkindale, owing to the pressure of business, had been unable to continue in the office. Others present endorsed the chairman’s remarks.

Mr. McCorkindaio stated that although he was retiring from the position of secretary and as a playing member of the club, he would still follow the progress of the Yellows with interest. His association with the committee and the team had been very pleasant and he looked forward to rejoining the club after a season's rest. The meeting gave lengthy consideration to the proposal to be associated with a carnival effort and it was unanimously decided to support the Fcilding football executive in the movement. As in former years it was decided to arrange friendly matches with the Apiti, Sanson, Marton, Old Boys Clubs and with the Kaierau Club of WangaA vote of thanks carried by acclamation was accorded the secretary, coaches, club captain and Messrs. Bowler and Morphy for valued services rendered during the past season. The meetiug v coneludcd with a vote of thanks to the chair. Old Boys’ Club.
