Train Derailment at Paraparaumu
DEATH OF ONE OF THE INJURED. WELL-KNOWN PICTON RESIDENT Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 5. Arthur Frederick Bush, aged 80, of Picton, who was seriously injured in the train derailment at Paraparaumu on Sunday last died in the Wellington Hospital at 2.55 this morning. Bush s -ffered ■ a fracture of both legs and severe shock. lie was returning home with his daughter from a holiday at ILumarunui at the time of the mishap. The funeral will take place at Picton on Tuesday. Bush occupied a high position in the Picton Lodge of Foresters as well as being at various times a member of the Picton Borough Council.
