Tho Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reports a good yarding of pigs at then' weekly pig fair held on Saturday with a fair de mand for all sorts, An increase in prices was shown for heavy pigs and lor first grade weaners. Poorer sorts of slips and stores only met with a medium demand. Realisations were as follows: —Small weaners, 6s to 10s; best weaners, up to I6s Od; slips, los to 16s; stores, to 25s Gd; porkers, 60s.

There was also an increased demand tor poultry, all lines being cleared at prices which showed a lair rise on last week’s clearances. Realisations were as follows:—White hens, 4s 6d to 5s Gd; black hens, 5s to 6s; cockerels, 4s 6d to 7s; ducks, 4s to Gs; pullets, 5s to 6s, all pricos being per pair.
