Day, Margaret street, accompanied by Mrs McKinney, of Auckland, returned to Palmerston North last evening from Paraparaumu. Mrs S. Parkes, ‘‘Parklands,” Terrace End, has retourned home after a short visit to Paraparaumu, where she was the guest of Mrs W. J. Day. Mr and Mrs H. P. Stratton, of Hastings, were visitors to Palmerston North yesterday, on their way to New Plymouth, where Mr Stratton will competo in tho gold and silver medal croquet competitions. A wedding of unusual interest was solemnised at Christ Church, Taumarunui, yestorday afternoon, when Miss Gwenda Marion Smith, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Roseoe Smith, Patunga, Taumarunui, wa s married toj Mr Henry Mackay Brown, Auckland,! a member of the 1935 All Blacks team.
