MAIN STREET DISTURBANCE Lawrence Stanley Stewart, a bitumen worker employed on tar-sealing operations, pleaded guilty at yesterday’s sitting of the Alagistratc’s Court in Pahiatua to being drink and disorderly in Alain street on Saturday evening last. Constable Prussing explained that defendant in company with another man had caused a disturbance in a shop in Main street, and when prevailed upon to leave became obstructive, with the result that witness, had to make an arrest. Air J. D. C. Crewe, J.P., who presided, said that law and order had to be observed in the town, and fined accused £l.
