MAURICEVILLE DEFEAT PAHIATUA

During the week-end members of the Pahiatua Cricket Club visited Maurieevilie, where, after an enjoyable day’s play, they were defeated by 31 runs. Webby and Hood (Maurieeville) were the outstanding players of the day, both at the wicket and in the bowling. While the scoring was anything but high on either side, the game was keenly contested, and due to the extra fine weather it was a tired but happy group of players that witnessed the close of the day’s play.
