Guessing Competition
PAHIATUA SHOW.
The guessing competitions at the re cent Pahiatua show resulted as iol lows:—
Fat beast (correct weight 54431b5): Mr A. Kerrison, Mangatainoka, was the winner with a guess of 5451b5. Mr A. Howell secured second prize with a guess of 5551b5. Mr E. Scandrett was close for second prize money with an estimate of 555 l-51bs.
Sheep (2) competition: J. P. Matthews, Marima, and A. Howell, Mangatainoka, divided the prize money with guesses of 871bs and 87Jlbs respectively. The correct weight was 8721b5. A dozen or more competitors guessed the weight at 881bs. The prize were:— First, £1; second, 10s,
