Further Slips in Gorge
RAILWAY LINE CLOSED TO PASSENGER TRAFFIC Yesterday afternoon there was an other fall of rock across the railway line in the Alauawatu gorge. The quantity of material which came down tho hillside at the spot where similar trouble wa £ experienced a few days ago, is not sufficient to prevent trains from running, but in view of the hazards of the journey, passenger traffic has been suspended in the meantime. Travellers will be conveyed between Palmerston North and Woodville by bus till such a time as the line is declared safe.
