Manawatu Potato Growers’ Association
A number of registered growers have now received their tags and labelled their shipments. The tags are printed on apple-green cardboard about gin. by 1-1 in. in size, bearing Manawatu Potato Growers’ Association, and the grower’s registered number. Interviewed, Mr. E. W. Priest, e/o the “Times” building, Palmerston North, who is secretary to the association, stated that they had a very fair membership for a so recently-inaugur-ated bodjn He would be pleased to hear from growers not yet joined up. The formation of this association will do much to obtain a better name and in consequence improved markets for potatoes from this district.
