jar n. H. Featherstone, of the head office of the Bank of New Zealand, is at present inspecting the branch office in Pahiatua. Mr J. E. Bloxain, of Wellington, has now taken up duties at the Bank of New Zealand, Pahiatua. Mr W. J. Koach, of Wellington, who has been on relief duty; for the past few weeks at tho Bank of New Zealand, Pahiatua, has left for .the Helensville branch on similar duty. Miss Mary Adams, of Wakemau street, has returned home from a holiday in Te Kuiti. Mr D. Berry has been called away to Auckland owing to the illness of a relative. Mr and Mrs A. Vaughan have returned from an enjoyable motor tour in the northern part of the Island. Mr L. Wales, a former resident of Pahiatua, passed through town on .Thursday on route to Wellington, where he was to have farewellcd Mr and Mrs Grocott on their departure for England. Mr Grocott was a former chief-postmaster at Wellington and spent some years in Pahiatua after his retirement.
