Dog Commits Suicide
A dog jumped into Manchester Ship Canal at Runcbrn recently. It was rescued by the captain of the port sanitary launch Hygenia and was placed on the canal bank.
It then jumped back into the canal, turned on its back, and disappeared. Several canal officials watched the dog and considered that it deliberately took its life.
