Mr. J. Cotter, Levin, is a visitor to. Pahiatua and is staying with his son, Mr. 0. H. Cotter, of George street. Mrs. Jeffries, of Te Awnmutu, is spending a holiday with Mrs. J. D. C. Crewe, Mrs.' Douglas Corbett, of Napier, is visiting her mother, Mrs. J. D, C. Crewe, of. Wakeman. street, Hamua, Miss M. Mulcahy, of Wellington, has returned home after a holiday with her aunt, Mrs. A. Hobbs, of Hamua. Mr. and Mrs. D. Bourke and their daughter,,Noeline, are back from a holiday in the South Island. Mrs. W. Couchman, of Makuri, has returned home after staying with her sister, Mrs. Cavanagh, for a fortnight. Miss B. Mulcahy, of Wellington, is spending her holidays with her aunt, Mrs. Hobbs, of Hamua. Mrs. J. Mabey is staying with Mr. B. Mabey, of Hamua, and has now recovered from the shock of the fire. Miss B. Mabey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, J. Mabey, Konini, is at present an inmate of the Public Hospital, where she has undergone an operation for appendicitis. The matron reported yesterday that Miss Mabey was making satisfactory progress and was now in the convalescent stage.
