THIEVES DECAMP WITH £IOO WORTH OF VALUABLES

WELLINGTON, Last Night
A smash-and-grab raid was carried out on E. S. Neill’s jeweller’s shop, Jackson street, Petoiic,, about four
o’clock this morning, the thieves decamping in a motor-car with £IOO worth of watches and jewellery which were displayed on truys in the window. The noiso of breaking glass was heard by a man in a side street, who arrived to see a man carrying trays ot jewellery jump into a motor-car and make a quick getaway.
