MARKET CLOSES PIEM. The market for New Zealand butter in London was irregular during last week, according to tko cablo received on Saturday by the Dairy Board, and the closing wholesale quotations were down about 2s a cwt. on the previous Thursday. At tko close of business, however, the market was firm. The cheese market is quiet with a fall in price of from Is to Is 6d a cwt.

Wholesale quotations for butter are: —New Zealand salted, 96s to 97s a cwt. (which equals approximately ll.old a lb., f.0.b.), compared with 98s to 100 s tho previous week and S2s to S4s at the corresponding period last year; unsaltod, 102 s to 104 s; Australian, salted, 95s to’96s, unsaltcd 101 sto 102 s; Danish, spot, 122 s (market quiet). The retail prices are unchanged at Is for New Zealand and Is 3d for Danish.

Tho Imperial Economic Committee's estimated stocks of all butters in store amount to 350,739 boxes, compared with 507,925 boxes at the corresponding period last year. Wholesale quotations for cheese are: —New Zealand, white 56s to 57s (which equals approximately 6.22 d a lb., f.0.b.), compared with 57s 6d to 58s the previous week and 4Ss to 49s at the corresponding period last year; coloured, 60s to 61s; Australian, white, 53s to 555; coloured 57s to 595; Canadian, white 59s to 625, coloured 61s to 645; finest English farmers', 96s to 106 s; English factory cheese, 4Ss to 50s. Minimum Export Prices.

The Dairy Board has fixed the minimum export prices until further notice at llld a lb. (which is equivalent to 92s lOd per cwt., c.i.f.) for butter, and sj|d (49s 7d) for cheese.
