From Our Own Correspondent. Miniature Rifle Shooting, Tho Bulls Miniature Rifle Club fired its weekly club shoot on Monday night when some good pertormances were registered. Scores aro set below; R. McKclvie Cup Retained by Bulls. The final shoot of the season for the McKelvi© cup was fired on the Bulls range on Tuesday night between the local team (holders) and tho Sanson Miniature Rifio Club’s eight. The shooting on the first range was decidedly poor and botli teams were hard put to beat 540, Bulls shading this total by a point while Sanson were one point down from their total. At one stage when six men had fired on both sides, Sanson were four points up on Bulls. There was a ma,.. chango in tho standard set oy Bulls in their second range, tho side compiling 53a points out of 560 which is a range record. Sanson shot be' i- in their second range for 546 which gave them a total of 1086 against 1036 scored by Bulls. Four Bulls men and two Sanson shooters scored 138 which was the highest score of tlio shoot. At tlie conclusion of tho shoot the visitors were entertained to refreshments and tho president of the Sanson Club, Mr W. Jenkins, took tho opportunity of congratulating Bulls on their sixth successtul shoot in defence of the cup. Mr R. B. McKenzie responded and assured tlie visitors that they were always welcome on tho Bulls range. Details aro set out below:—
