AUTHORITIES EXPERIENCING BUSY PERIOD

Although it is impossible, as yet, to obtain exact or complete figures in respect to the latest motor registrations in the district, it is fully apparent that the “good old days’’ of the horse and buggy are getting further away than over.

Up till the end of May last the Chief Post Office at Palmerston North, which caters for an extensive aro/i in addition to the city, records an increase of just over 400 registrations. At the end of May last year ”059 registrations had been made, while for the corresponding period this year 5070 were in hand.
