From Our Own Correspondent. The ladies’ tennis handicap has progressed as far as the semi-final, leaving Misses E .and I. Anderson and E. Woods in the competition. A ‘ ‘ working ..bee” ( has effected great improvements and put in good work at the new tennis courts during last week. There is still plenty of work to be done and members should lend what help they can, in order to complete the work in hand while the weather is suitable. The thanks of the Tennis Club arc due to Mrs Anderson and family for providing refreshments. Arrangements are well in hand for the forthcoming tennis dance and presentation of trophies, when it is expected that outside clubs .will be well represented. Robertson carried off the prize, and Mr- R. Brill the consolation. Dancing Avas indulged In after supper, the music ‘ beifig 'supplied by Misses G. Law'rence,- Mi Anderson, and Messrs K. Brill and L. Craven, while Mr W. Gosling, Jnr., carried out the duties of. M.C. During the evening 'it was announced that a challenge match was to be played during the week, and all interosted should endeavour to be present.
