At (lie international athletic meeting at Tocnsborg, on a heavy track, the 1500 metres was won by Lovelock in 4min 5 2-sscc. Lovelock completely outran his opponents in an excellent race. In' the 400 metres Rathbonc won easily in 59 l-ssec. In the 200 metres Horsfall won in 22jscc. Tho .1000 metres relay race was won by Lovelock, Rathbonc, Horsfall and Townsend, in 2min 1 9-10scc, Rathbonc, the last runner, beating Carson (Norway) by a fraction of a second.
