MRS MARION GILLIES The death of Mrs Marion Rosalie Gillies, of "Edenkilli-e Park,” Rangitikei line, which occurred suddenly yesterday morning, will bo learned with deep-regret by the whole community.’ Mrs. Gillies was the widow of ill- Hugh Gillies, whose death occurred about two months ago..

Formerly a schoolteacher in Victoria, Mrs Gillies was an adopted daughter of the late Mr Donald Manson, who owned "Edcnkillio Park” prior to the property being purchased by the late Mr Gillies, to whom Mrs Gillies was married over twenty years ago after •taking up her residence in Rangitikei line. She was his second wife, and th>?.ro was no family of the marriage.

For some time prior to her husband's death Mrs Gillies had been in failing health, and the shock of his passing unfortunately hastened her end. She was possessed of a kindly and endearing disposition, and will bo greatly missed by a wide circle of acquaintances.

Mr 11. J. Manson, sheepfarmer, of Raetihi, is a cousin of the deceased lady.
