From Our Own Correspondent. Primary Schools’ Football. Twelve teams took part in the annual Rugby competition for primary schools for tho Noad shield, which was held on Saturday last, tho new competing teams being Tokomaru, Foxton Convent and Otaki Convent. Tho competition was a handicap one, Levin fielding two equal teams, also two other teams. The conditions were Ideal for football and some very interesting games were witnessed. The finalists were Foxton District High School and Levin District High School, the former eventually winning the shield by 0 points to nil, Fitt scoring the three tries. Tho results of play were as follow: — First round: Tokomaru 3 v. Levin District High (C) 0; Devin Convent 19 v. Levin District High (D) 0; Ohau 3 v. Levin District High (S) 0; Levin District High (N) 13 v. Manukau 8. Byes: Foxton District High, Foxton Convent, Shannon and Otaki Convent. Second round: Foxton District Iligll 3 v. Otaki Convent 0; Foxton Convent 14 v. Shannon 3; Tokomaru 11 v. Levin Convent G; Ohau 0 v. Levin District High (N) 13. Semi-finals: Foxton District High 13 v. Foxton Convent 0; Tokomaru 0 v. Euchre ana Dance, Members of tlio Foxton Fire Brigade Football Club held a successful euchre and dance on Monday evening when there was a good attendance present and an enjoyable time was spent. The winners of the euchre were as follow:—Men, Mr. T. Carter J, Mr. P. Barry 3; four competitors tied for third place. Ladies, Mrs. Littlejohn 1, Mrs. \V. Coley 3, Miss R. Paul 3. Consolation: Men, Mr. L. McAllister: ladies, Mrs. 11. McGregor. Mr. Millar and Mrs. J. McGregor were the winners of tho lucky Gay Gordons.
