From Our Own Correspondent. The local hall was filled to overflowing on Friday when the annual fancy dress ball of the Clydesdalo school took place. Visitors were present from surrounding districts and wero treated to a splendid entertainment. Miss Flavell left no stone unturned in tho training of tho children and is to bo congratulated upon the display given. Mesdames P. T. Scott and P. R. Teague gave assistance at all practices in supplying tho music, and it Was most unfortunate on tho final evening that Mrs. Teague was unable to attend. The wholo entertainment i-eflects great credit upon tho organising ability of tho committee and the untiring chairman (Mr. S. Yv\ R. .Armitage) proved himself adept in carrying out his many duties. Music for dancing was played by Mr. .T. V. Wallis and the judging of tho fancy costumes was carried out by Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Price, of Bulls. The supper arrangemenls 'were all capably controlled by a ladies’ committee. The hall had been tastefully decorated by a band of willing helpers with streamers of red, white, blue and green and presented a gay spectacle. Thanks were expressed to all donors, helpers and assistants, with particular mention to Miss Flavell, Mrs. P. T. Scott, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Price and the whole of tho ladies’ committee. During tho evening Mr. J. C. Gibbons,*' in a few well chosen remarks, made a presentation on behalf of the parents to Mr. G. R. McKenzie of a Westminster chiming clock and ex pressed their thanks and appreciation for past services as chairman of the school committee over a lengthy period of years. Mr. McKenzie suitably returned thanks. After supper dancing was continued until a late hour. Miss P. Kedward contributed extras and Mr. fa. Armitago proved a capable M.C.
