Cyclonic conditions brought rain to nearly every part of the State of New South Wales during the week-end. Torrential falls caused flooding and wasliaways along the coastal districts. The full force of the storm was experienced in Sydney, where rain has fallen continuously for over 60 hours. Severe damage has been done in the suburbs. Many parts of the North Coast have been flooded, and with further heavy falls anticipated the danger of widespread floods exists. The Gloucester, Nambucca, • Manning and llawkesbury rivers have broken their banks, inundating the low-lying areas. The main western highway is blocked. Rough seas whipped up by an easterly gale pounded the coast, and coastal vessels had stormy passages. Tho Wanganella, returning from a Tasmanian cruise, arrived at tho heads rolling in a heavy beam sea, but she was only an hour late. The cyclone is now moving to the southern part of the State. Brick Wall Topples on House Received Monday, 30 p.m. SYDNEY, July 30. A brick wall, undermined by the prolonged rain, collapsed to-day at Leichhardt and toppled on to a house 50 feet below.
