GOOD WRESTLING AT WELLINGTON Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A packed house at the Wellington Town Hall this evening enjoyed to the full a thrilling wrestling bout between Dean Detton and Dr. Fred Meyer, which resulted in a drew. Meyer secured the first fail, in the fifth round, with a body press following a full Nelson. Tho equalising fall arrived in tho final round when, very groggy, Meyer was grounded by a flying mare and pressed. For more than half the bout Meyer looked the winner, but in the last three rounds he was at the mercy of Detton, who improved as the bout advanced. There was a good deal of punching and kicking, but the wrestling nevertheless was strenuous.

Walker Beats Shikina Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. A professional wrestling contest between George Walker and Oki Shikina resulted in a win for Walker by'two falls to one. Shikina. gained the first, fall, in the second round, with a. body press aud Walker evened in. the fourth with a body press following a dump. The bout ended in the sixth round, when Walker gained an easy fall with a body press after Shikina had failed with a drop kick. Throughout the contest Shikina was ike more aggressive, Walker being content to wait for his opponent's mistakes.
