At Pittsburgh the grand jury disposed of the Government’s tax evasion charge against Andrew Mellon, a former Secretary of the Treasury and head of the. Aluminium Company of Angelica bv refusing to return an indictment to-day, declaring that the complaint was "not a true bill." Mr. Mellon, expressing his gratification, announced that, instead of having evaded payment of 718,000 dollars’ income taxes in 11*3.1, as charged, he actually over-paid and now would seek a refund.
