Floods in New South Wales

TORRENTIAL RAIN ON FAR NORTH ' COAST. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Tuesday 8.40 p.m. SYDNEY, May 9. Torrential rain has fallen on the far North Coast and there is a danger of serious floods on the Richmond and Bellingen Rivers. In tlie Richmond, Tweed Heads, Colls Harbour, and Bellingen districts large areas are undor water. Three feet of water, is swirling through many homes in low-lying parts of Linn ore and about 50 famlics have quitted their homes. The Richmond River is 24ft. above its normal level. The entire coast of New South Wales is thoroughly drenched. There has scarcely been a day without rain in the past fortnight.
