Creditors Examine Bankrupt
DISCHARGE TO BE OPPOSED On Friday afternoon the adjourned creditors’ meeting in the estate of Frank Raven, insurance agent, was held before Mr G. E. Dcrnpsy (.D.0.A.). Mr H. H. Hutchison represented bankrupt. Creditors present were Messrs G-. Halse (representing it-lie A.M.P. Society), K. Shaw, A. D. Campbell, T. F. Belling (for Messrs Belling and. Lees), J, E. Mewctt (Brick and Pipes, Ltd., and Jackson and Sons, Ltd.), and G. 1, McGregor (for Mr K, Shaw arid Messrs Collinson and Sou, Ltd.).
Bankrupt was further examined as to his financial position when his liabilities were contracted, and stated that though he could not find the cash immediately, ho could offer £l“o to his creditors, A resolution moved by Mr Campbell that, this be accepted and bankrupt's discharge facilitated was lost by four votes to two. Subsequently, on. the motion of Mr McGregor, it was decided that bankrupt’s discharge should be opposed until" he paid Jss in the £. The meeting was adjourned sine die,
