Central School Party
JUNIOR CLASSES ENTERTAINED Over 200 children, as •well as a number of parents, attended a party for the three lower standards of the Central. School on Wednesday evening. The function, was held in the assembly hall of the school under tho control- of Mr E. Bary, the headmaster, and the evening was spent in games and dancing. Mrs L. Bristow supplied tho music, extras being played by Mrs Barkwith. The Lucky Spot and Monte Carlo novelties were most popular with the children, the prize winners being as follow: Lucky spot, W. Stewart and H. Dear; “musical flops,” Audrey Berry, Winnie Walker, Mate Hosking, ..Jim. Adams, Dorothy Wright, Joan Rush and Dorothy Ryan; Monte Carlo, Cliff Elliott and Elizabeth Johnson. A dainty supper was handed round by the ladies’ committee and at the close of the evening ringing cheers were given for the teachors and the ladies’ committee. The children of tie infant department were entertained at a similar gathering on a Saturday afternoon earlier in the month.
