From Our Own Correspondent. A dance conducted by tho "Gloom Chasers” took place on Wednesday evening.- The attendance was not large but thoso present had a pleasant evening. The orchestra provided pleasant dance music, and after supper an extra was played by Mr J. Burton. Miss Roes and -Mr Collins were tho winners of the Monte Carlo Waltz, and (he Lucky .Spot foxtrot was won by Airs Wilde and Mr. G Tozer. Mr Bert Wilde capably performed the duties of M.C. Sympathy is extended to Mr and Mrs J. O’Hagan in the loss of their daughter, Airs T. Neylon, who passed away at Te Awamutu early this week. The interment took place at Bunnythorpe on Thursday morning, the cortege leaving St. Patrick’s Church, Palmerston North. Sympathy is also extended to Mr O’Hagan in the loss of his sister who passed away at Whangarel on Sunday. Miniature Rifle Club. There was a poor attendance at the range on Monday night when the second round of the 10-tdiot shield was held. To-night the shot will be for the two miniature 10-shot cups.
