Mild Influenza Epidemic
OUTBREAK IN NEWCASTLE. BUSINESS STAFFS AFFECTED SYDNEY, Aug. 18. There is a mild influenza epidemis in Sydney, but in Newcastle the outbreak is more serious. All businesses are oporating with depleted staffs. Over two hundred employees of Lysaght’a arc affected, and tho staff of the Newcastle Hospital has suffered severely. Being prostrated with a serious attack, a father, mother and five children were unable to leave their beds and open the door for the doctor, who forced a window and climbed through to the patients.
