The Halcombe seniors travelled to Huntervillo on Saturday al'ternoon to meet Huntcrville seniors on tlieir own ground which proved to be very greasy and dead and thus marred good play. The spectators enjoyed their outing i'or both teams were evenly matched. Prom the kick-off yellow forwards went for the ball in fine stylo and from a quick pass Anderson took the chance and potted a field goal. Yellows 4, red 0. Tho reds made a dash to even tlio score and were awarded a penalty kick for a yellow man being off-side, but the bail was very greasy and IVe kick failed. The yellows continued to push the reds who forced. Prom the kick-off reds forced their opponents back, but through kicking too hard, yellows were able to force down. The score remained the same until tho second spell, when play started off at a great pace. Rods suddenly broke away with the ball at their toes to score a well-earned try, the kick failing. By this time the crowd was on its toes with only five minutes to play. Yellows brilliantly attacked, carrying play well into reds' 25 and this proved the position when tho final whistle blew': Halcombe 4, Huntervilie 3. Mr. Stan Gibbons had control of the game.
