The Tivoli
“THE BIG BROADCAST” “The Big Broadcast,” Paramount’s romantic comedy set against the background of a radio studio, at the Tivoli Theatre to-night, with a featured cast ■which includes Stuart Erwin, Bing Crosby, Leila Hyams and many of America’s foremost radio stars. The story revolves around Crosby, Miss Hyams and Erwin. Crosby, in the film as in real life a radio favourite, is so fascinated by another woman that he never shows up at the studio in time for his broadcasts, and consequently gets himself fired. Erwin, in love with Miss Hyams, finds she loves Crosby, and in a magnificent gesture, buys the, station and a network to restore the latter his job for Leila’s sake. But Crosby remains irresponsible, and it is only after a big broadcast in which the other radio favourites arc featured, that the tangled lives of the three are straightened out. The screening for to-morrow and Thursday is "Arrowsmith,” starring Ronald Colmau and Helen Hayes. A matinee will be held on att&tagqm,
