Fake Coins in Circulation
SHOPKEEPERS WARNED TO BE CAUTIOUS. A number of spurious two shilling pieces were successfully passed at the Palmerston North Showgrounds yesterday and business pcoplo are tvarned to keep a sharp look-out when offered florins in payment tor goods, The fakes are made of an alloy and arc of Australian design dated 1931. It was also reported last evening that spurious half-crowns also dated 1931 arc in circulation in the city.
