Relief Workers in City
NO NEWS YET FROM WELLINGTON
The Mayor (Mr. A. E. Mansford) received a telegram from Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., yesterday stating that he had had a further with the Minister and Unemployment Board who bad arranged to meet to-day to consider the request from Palmerston North for better consideration for relief workers. The Mayor replied to Mr. Nash as follows: — “Wire to band. Urge Minister and Board to act quickly.. Opinion here strong in resentment of different treatment local men to main centres.”
