Mrs. F. C. Ebbett has been called to Mastertou on account of the illness of his uncle, Mr. C. B. Ebbett. The many friends of Mrs. George Eddie, a former highly esteemed resident of this district, now of Taradale, will regret to learn that she recently underwent a somewhat serious operation in the Boyston Private Hospital, Hastings.' Hopes are expressed for her speedy recovery. Members of the Women’s Institute dramatic circlo arc under the capable leadership of Mrs. A. Wylie, at present engaged in preparing for the production of a scene from Shakespeare’s play, “Tho Merchant of Venice.”
