New Napier En Fete
GOVERNOR-GENERAL IMPRESSED WITH ARCHITECT JRE Per Press Association NAPIER, Last Night. Tho second day p£ the week's carnival to mark tho opening of "New Napier” was held in lino but somewhat cold wcathor to-day. A largo number of visitors woro again in evidence and the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe again had a round of duties to perform, being occupied with opening tho Napier Society of Arts and Craftr pictorial history of Napier and the official opening of the rebuilt Napier Hospital, while this evening their Excellencies attended the Rod Cross ball. Other events held during the day included athletic sports and a concert. In the course of his remarks at the hospital his Excellency stated how attractive he and Lady Blodisloo had found the architecture of tho new Napier with its wide streets and impression of siraplo dignity, tasteful colourings and homogeneity of design in the newly-erected structures.
