Missing Mail Matter
MOSTLY NORTH ISLAND DESTINATIONS Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Further details of tho missing three bags of registered mail from, the liner Remuera, which arrived in Wellington from London on October 2, have been received frorii tho British Post Office by the Secretary of the General Post Office in Wellington. It is established that 16S registered articles in all arc missing, the great majority for North Island destinations. The articles originated for tho majority in England and a considerable number in Scotland. The offices of posting and the registered numbers borno by tho articles arc known to the post office. Particulars aro not recorded, however, of tho addressees and the department is unable to intimate to whom tho various articles were addressed.
