Struck by Two Motor Cars
CAUSE OP ELDERLY LADY’S DEATH Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Miss Elizabeth Bott, aged Gl, who received fatal injuries on the Great South road on October 22, was concluded before Mr. Hunt, S.M., Coroner. Deceased was struck by two motor chrs iu quick succession and died before medical aid could be obtained. Tho first car did not stop and has not been identified. Tho Coroner returned a verdict that the cause of deceased’s death was shock, following multiple injuries she received when she was accidentally knocked down and run over by a motor Car driven by John Fred Newsome. "The cvidoncc shows,” added Mr. Hunt, "that deceased had just previously been struck by another car, which was not identified, and wffiich was travelling a* an excessive speed.”
